Heritagefest 2021

The famous multicultural summer festival,  Heritagefest, is BACK! With the limit on outdoor gatherings a thing of the past, what better way to spend an afternoon than at a massive celebration of culture through music, dance, and good food!

While you're having fun at all the events & activities, you might even find you learned something you didn't know before! Getting into the Celebration

To enter Hawrelak Park during the Heritage Celebration 2021, visitors are required to present a Timed-Entry Pass. They will be available through Eventbrite for free. Visitors will NOT be able to enter without a Timed-Entry Pass. We will only be allowing a fixed number of people into the park per hour but once inside the park guests can stay as long as they like.

Passes will be scanned at the main entrance, the bus entrance, and the bridge entrance.

NEW! To decrease person-to-person interaction, there will be NO FOOD TICKETS for sale. Food and goods can be purchased directly from the pavilions by credit or debit ONLY.

Today’s Bank of Canada rate hold announcement marks almost four straight years that the key benchmark rate has remained unchanged, since September 8, 2010. Great news if you have a variable-rate mortgage or home equity line of credit; the prime rate stays at 3%.


The announcement noted that “the risks to the outlook for inflation remain roughly balanced, while the risks associated with household imbalances have not diminished.” With these considerations, the Bank is maintaining its monetary policy stimulus, and remains neutral with respect to the timing and direction of the next change.


The next rate-setting day is October 22nd.
