Completely updated in 2007! A character home with all the modern conveniences. Prestigious location on amazing street lined with 100yr old trees kitty corner from park. Long list of upgrades: windows with custom coverings, built in shelving, stained glass windows, upgraded electrical/plumbing, furnace, hot water tank, humidifier, hardwood and slate flooring, custom kitchen and cabinets with beautiful granite counter tops, high end appliances, gas fireplace with original brick, opened up living room and kitchen, insulation and drywall, pocket doors, and Frank Lloyd Wright front door. The basement is partly finished with laundry room, mud room and lots of storage. Outside was professionally landscaped with cobble stone walk ways, enjoy the new over sized, heated/insulated 24x24 double detached garage, front and rear cedar decks, fence, front awning, all over head power lines were trenched/buried, eaves troughs, and shingles. Excellent proximity to downtown and all amenities. A must see!
Today’s Bank of Canada rate hold announcement marks almost four straight years that the key benchmark rate has remained unchanged, since September 8, 2010. Great news if you have a variable-rate mortgage or home equity line of credit; the prime rate stays at 3%.
The announcement noted that “the risks to the outlook for inflation remain roughly balanced, while the risks associated with household imbalances have not diminished.” With these considerations, the Bank is maintaining its monetary policy stimulus, and remains neutral with respect to the timing and direction of the next change.
The next rate-setting day is October 22nd.
